For the emperor's part bacon the pieces of meat with fresh, aromatic mountain herbs are spiced and drily salted. He is without sticking bacon portion and dries easily, smoked in high mountain air.

St. Magdalener is a typical South Tyrolean red wine made Vernatsch and Lagrein grapes, of a pleasing colour that ranges ruby to garnet. It has a wide pallet of fruity flavours, almonds to wild cherries, which expand and intensify on the palate. It is delicate yet has a powerful structure.
The Kalterersee Auslese is a light-bodied wine, whose color is light ruby to deep ruby red. It is pleasant and fruity on the palate, often with a touch of bitter almonds.
