The heart of this distillate is gained by the most delicious and fragrant cherries, picked and selected in the best production areas. The full fragrance is assured by a delicate double distillation carried out in bain-marie copper stills.
This excellent and limited production eau-de-vie is made with selected, hand picked apricots. The ancient method of the double distillation carried out in copper bain-marie stills brings out its fine and velvety aroma.
One of the traditional South Tyrolean dishes are the bacon dumplings, hand made by the butcher's shop Villgrater in Sexten/Sesto.
Made with an ancient recipe, kept strictly secret. Many different kinds of herbs are manufactured and mixed together. It is the mix of all these herbs' properties that assures the stimulating effect of this bitter. It is not a slightly bitter liqueur, but a proper bitter with a full and dry taste, genuine and without any added sugar. The ancient monastery recipe rightly called it " The long life elixir".
