The Cantina Bolzano is a renowned winegrowing cooperative in the heart of South Tyrol, Italy. The winery was founded in 1908 and since then it has developed into one of the most important wineries in the region. The winery is located in the city of Bolzano, which is known for its picturesque location in the middle of the Dolomites.
The Bolzano Winery has an area of around 230 hectares, on which mainly autochthonous grape varieties such as Lagrein, Vernatsch and Gewürztraminer are cultivated. The winery's vineyards are situated in some of the best locations in South Tyrol, including St. Magdalena, Gries, Grieser Platz and Rentsch. The location of the vineyards on the steep slopes of the Dolomites provides ideal conditions for growing grapes.
