The company was founded in 1960 by Johann Reichhalter and taken over in 1997 by his son Erwin Reichhalter, who combined a passion for traditional craftsmanship with his interest in innovative flavours. Fritz & Felix's Schüttelbrot is made according to a traditional recipe that has been passed down in South Tyrol for generations. Each loaf is made by hand and baked on stone slabs to ensure it is crisp and aromatic.
