The Hofbrennerei Zu Plun - Florian Rabanser is a family business in Castelrotto, a municipality in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy. The distillery is run by Florian Rabanser, who learned the craft of distilling his father and is now the fourth generation to continue it. The Zu Plun farm distillery is known for its high-quality fruit brandies and liqueurs, which are made fresh fruit the region. The raw materials come the surrounding orchards and are harvested by hand and carefully selected. Pink colour with ruby hints. Quite pronounced, fruity aroma (red berries) with floral impressions (violets). Medium-bodied smooth fruit on the palate, fresh. Long lasting aftertaste with an elegant bitter twist.

Just like the wine, the Kerner Grappa the distillery Zu Plun smells very conservative, low-key. On the palate though, it is dry, full-bodied, and very present. In the end, this distillation exhibits a typical profile with a taste similar to nutmeg.
In our distillery we refine the peel of fresh berries and our mostly homegrown fruits. The spirits reflect our commitment and the very aromatic fruits which uniquely reflect the climate of the Vinschgau valley.
