The L. Psenner distillery is a traditional family business that has been based in Tramin, South Tyrol, since 1951 and is dedicated to the production of high-quality spirits. The distillery is known for its exceptional grappas and liqueurs, which are made ingredients and according to time-honoured methods. The history of the distillery goes back to 1947, when Ludwig Psenner built his first small distillery in Tramin. Since then, the company has developed steadily and has become one of the leading producers of spirits in South Tyrol. Today, the distillery is managed in the second generation by Ludwig Psenner's son Luis, who continues to run the company with great passion and innovative spirit. The distillery's assortment includes a wide range of grappas, including fine drops the Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer grape varieties. Particularly noteworthy are the single-varietal grappas made grapes of the autochthonous South Tyrolean grape varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein. In addition, the distillery offers a wide range of liqueurs, including the famous "Lagrein-Kraeuter", which is made a secret mixture of herbs and the juice of the Lagrein grape. The L. Psenner distillery is a company with high quality standards and a strong focus on sustainability. For example, the marc produced during grappa production is used as fertiliser in the surrounding fields. In addition, the distillery relies on regional ingredients and works closely with local winegrowers to get the best possible grapes for its spirits. All in all, the L. Psenner distillery is an outstanding example of a traditional family business that has dedicated itself to producing high-quality spirits with a great deal of passion and commitment. With its wide range of grappas and liqueurs, its high quality standards and its focus on sustainability, the distillery has earned an excellent reputation in the industry.
