Cabernet Sauvignon South Tyrol - 2020 - 0.75 lt. - Winery Hofstätter
This particular wine is very rich and concentrated, full, deep ruby in colour with intense, almost aggressive herbaceous aromas which evolve and become warm and generous with maturity. They remain intense even after the wine has been in the glass for a considerable time. On the palate it is rich and dry, herbaceous, earthy and long due to its fi rm, tannic structure, characteristics which will enable this wine to mature magnifi cently in bottle for at least a year or two, evolving, mellowing and developing complexity.
Chardonnay - 2020 - 0.75 lt. - Winery Hofstätter Alto Adige
This is a very agreeable, fresh and flowery Chardonnay, pale yellow with green reflexes in colour with delicate, fruity, warm and persistent aromas of apple, especially Golden Delicious which underpins its varietal character. The wine's crisp, tangy acidity combined with its pronounced fruit and impressive structure point to a wine which will continue to develop complexity, with a cellaring potential of at least 2 years.

Golden in colour. An intense and concentrated aroma is released as soon as the wine is poured, reminiscent of exotic fruits such as mango, papaya with a hint of pineapple and lychee, all of which follows through on the palate; opulent, ambrosial with mouthcleansing acidity to balance the luscious sweetness melting into a monumental finish.

This is a highly individual wine and a copybook Gewürztraminer: full, bright straw yellow, concentrated with a strong aromatic character reminiscent of dried flowers and rose petals which develops and intensifies in the glass. The Kolbenhof Gewürztraminer is characterised by sumptuous fruit. Deep golden yellow in colour with green reflexes, on the nose it is reminiscent of ripe apricot and peach intermingled with exotic fruits such as lychee, mango and passion fruit. The fruit characteristics follow through on the palate; full-bodied, luscious but dry, the opulence cut by vibrant, firm acidity finishing elegant, dry and aromatic.

It is full ruby in colour with violet reflexes, fresh and intensely fruity on the nose, fragrant with a flavour of woodland berry fruits on the palate and a lightly almondy finish. The wine's succulent, gentle fruity character , soft, unobtrusive tannins and mild supple acidity make it a favourite for social drinking.

Weingut J. Hofstätter is a renowned winery in Tramin on the South Tyrolean Wine Road, known for its excellent wines and long tradition of winemaking. The winery was founded in 1907 by Josef Hofstätter and is now run by his grandson Martin Foradori Hofstätter.
The J. Hofstätter winery covers a total of around 50 hectares of vineyards, spread over various vineyard sites in Tramin and the surrounding area. The winery is particularly well known for its wines the Gewürztraminer variety, which finds ideal conditions on the steep slopes around Tramin. Here J. Hofstätter produces both dry and sweet Gewürztraminer, which are among the best in the region.
Besides Gewürztraminer, the winery also produces other varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Lagrein and Pinot Nero. The J. Hofstätter winery places particular emphasis on gentle and sustainable winemaking, which preserves the natural characteristics of the grapes and thus produces wines of the highest quality.
The J. Hofstätter winery relies on a combination of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship. The grapes are harvested by hand and gently processed before being matured in modern stainless steel tanks or wooden barrels. The winery also relies on long maturation periods to give the wines a special complexity and finesse.
