Viticultural Practices: this wine is made certified organic grapes vineyards that are farmed according to biodynamic methods of viticulture (Demeter certification).
Grape variety: Chardonnay.
Deion: a substantial Chardonnay, party fermented and ripened in small wooden casks. The grapes are grown in the Gaun vineyards on the Magré moraine. Golden-yellow color with greenish overtones. more Rich, complex aroma with delicate, light, buttery nose and notes of ripe tropical fruits. Full, vigorous and yet elegant taste. Harmonious, fresh, lingering finish.
Suggested foods: all types of seafood (fish and shellfish), white meat and poultry.
Origin: Gaun vineyard, a part of the Löwengang estate, located on the scree of Magrè at an altitude of 230 to 250 meters (750 - 820 feet) with exposure to the south-east. Soils are sandy and gravely. Warm mesoclimate with important contrast between warm days and cool nights.
Age of vines: 10 - 30 years.
Vinification: 2/3 of the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then matured, on the fine lees, for 6 months.
