Site: Our Kalterersee cl superiore "Alexander" grows at 350 m above sea level on a south-facing slope below the Leuchtenburg ruins on porphyry bedrock. This unique location with its deep soil enables us to produce an expressive and complex Kalterersee with good ageing potential. Vinification and ageing: The grapes are harvested by hand and brought to the cellar in small containers. After destemming and fermentation in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for 7 months on its fine lees, 70% in wooden vats and 30% in stainless steel tanks. Wine deion: Our Kalterersee presents itself fruity on the nose, with intense aromas of cherry and violet. The elegant soft tannins offer excellent drinking pleasure.
