Viticultural Practices: The grapes for this wine come vineyards which are cultivated partially with integrated methods, partially with biodinamic methods. Grape variety: Lagrein. Deion: medium cherry-red colour. Pronounced, fruity (prune, cherry) and spicy aroma with notes of leather, tar, dark chocolate and floral nuances (violets), along with oak spice. Medium structure and with good fruit intensity on the palate. The tannins are present though balanced. Good length with an earthy aftertaste. When cellared under proper conditions, this wine may be kept for 8 to 10 years. Suggested food: red meat such as beef and lamb, veni- son, game, all kind of cheeses. Origin: Lindenburg Estate in Bolzano at an altitude of 280 metres a.s.l (920 feet). Deep and rich alluvial soil. Very warm mesoclimate. Vinification: soft crushing and pressing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation for approximately 15 days and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Matured during fifteen months in small oak barrels of 225 litres (French oak - Alliers and Nevers - depending on the vintage up to 1/3 in new wood). Bottle to: 0,75 Liters.
