Deion: Grape variety native to South Tyrol; very dark garnet with violet reflexes; an aroma of woodland fruits (blackberry and bilberry) meshed with violets, cinnamon, vanilla and black cherries; mouth-filling, ripe tannins and impressive length.
Food Choices: An extremely versatile partner for South Tyrolean cuisine, it is also an excellent match for roast beef, braised red meat with reduced sauces, lamb with mint sauce, game and mature cheeses.
