On the southern slopes surrounding Bolzano, the Schiava and Lagrein grapes ripen, which this round red wine is made. The velvety taste and the typical aroma with hints of almonds and violets give character to this appreciated wine.
On the palate it is vivacious, fresh with refreshing, perfectly harmonious acidity; the flowery aromas follow through; excellent structure and length. de Vite is a stylish fresh and easily enjoyable white wine, best enjoyed while it retains its youthful freshness.
For the gourmets among us, the delicious wild boar ham is recommended. The meat of the wild boar is not comparable to that of the domestic pig. It is aromatic and dark red in colour. Furthermore, the meat is leaner and firmer than that of the domestic pig.
The Südtiroler Edelvernatsch, also known as Schiava, is a light-bodied wine, whose color is light ruby to deep ruby red. It is pleasant and fruity on the palate, often with a touch of bitter almonds.
