The Cantina Bolzano is a renowned winegrowing cooperative in the heart of South Tyrol, Italy. The winery was founded in 1908 and since then it has developed into one of the most important wineries in the region. The winery is located in the city of Bolzano, which is known for its picturesque location in the middle of the Dolomites. The Bolzano Winery has an area of around 230 hectares, on which mainly autochthonous grape varieties such as Lagrein, Vernatsch and Gewürztraminer are cultivated. The Amarone of Valpolicella is a wine of complex structure, elegant, balanced, rich and intense, such as the extraordinary shade of its impenetrable red as well as unreachable are its flavor and taste. Our Cuvee of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is aged for one year in wood, and then bottled. Cabernet belongs to the most full-bodied red wine varieties, has a garnet to dark garnet color, an earthy aroma, and slightly herbal flavor. The varietal Merlot originally comes France, is a lighter, dry red wine of garnet to dark garnet color. Overtones of black currants, dried fruit, chocolate, green bell pepper, cedar and tobacco predominate in this cuvee.
Ruby red in color; seductive aromas of cherry, raspberries, red fruits, combined with fine spicy notes and discreet roasted notes. A gentle pressing, natural cellaring and controlled fermentation are the basis of this brilliant topaz-colored wine.
