Elena Walch is a respected winemaker and producer of quality wines the South Tyrolean wine-growing region in Italy. Her winery, which she runs together with her daughters, is located in Tramin on the Wine Road and covers a total of 55 hectares of vineyards.

Elena Walch inherited her passion for viticulture her father and studied agricultural sciences in Milan and Geisenheim before deciding to start her own winery in the 1980s. the beginning, her goal was to produce wines of the highest quality that reflect the terroir and characteristics of the region.

Today, Elena Walch is one of Italy's best-known winemakers and has received numerous awards for her wines. She is particularly proud of the fact that her wines regularly receive top ratings in renowned wine guides such as Gambero Rosso and Wine Spectator.

Elena Walch's wines are characterised by elegance, freshness and finesse. She relies on careful work in the vineyard and in the cellar to develop the full potential of the grape varieties. She relies on autochthonous grape varieties such as Lagrein and Gewürztraminer, but also on international varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

In addition to viticulture, Elena Walch is also committed to nature conservation and focuses on sustainable cultivation of her vineyards. For example, she works with natural fertilisers and relies on gentle soil cultivation.

All in all, Elena Walch stands for a modern and innovative winegrowing culture that skilfully combines tradition and innovation. Her wines are an expression of a region that is known for its scenic beauty and culinary diversity.

This white wine is grown on ice-age morainic soils. With its pale-green colour, it has unmistakably intense scents of gooseberries, blackcurrants, elder, lilac and grass. Its nose has a very fruity and intense flavour, while the taste is dry with a fine interplay of acids.
