A powerful, complex wine with fine tannins, somewhere between ruby-red and violet in colour. The nose has slight nuances of violets and forest berries. Full-bodied on the palate with a velvety finish.
The dark ruby colour of this Pinot Noir already suggests its superb concentration. Its aromatic depth opens generously in the glass: a multifaceted fragrance of amarelle cherry and lingonberry is accompanied by delicate vanilla and subtle oak spice. The highly elegant palate impresses with precisely chiselled acid structure, velvety tannins, and a compelling, long finish.

This Blauburgunder (Pinot Nero) is aged in wooden barrels, it has a ruby purple-red colour with a hint of blackberries. Characteristic of this wine is its fruity, pleasant and wholehearted flavour. The Luziafeld vineyard is situated near the St. Pauls winery where the soil is loamy.

Our Pinot Nero Riserva is only produced when the conditions permit the creation of a truly outstanding wine that shows off the Alto Adige region in its very best. 2018 vintage resulted in very intense, concentrated Pinots with powerful ruby red colour, fine Burgunder bouquet with red berry flavours accompanied by vanilla notes. A deep mouth filling wine with clear tannins that has all the hallmarks that we look for in a Riserva.
On the palate, it has a velvety, extremely berry-like effect like a French Burgundy, and tones of fresh elderberries and wild cherries give the subtle fruit sweetness a succinct, finely-spiced structure.
Our Pinot Nero Matan is a wine with terroir and is thus well-structured, with an evident elegance, smooth and rich in aromatic nuances. The high temperature differences between day and night during the ripening season give this powerfully dark red wine a particularly fruit-toned character, lending fruit and pedigree to the Matan with its scents of forest berries.

Pinot Noir South Tyrol is different Pinot Noir in other regions and shows a personality of its own. It is a demanding grape varietal that is doing well in our moderately elevated vineyards, producing a well-structured wine that is ruby to garnet red in colour. It aromas are intense and remind us of dark and red berries, cloves and violets. On the palate this Pinot Noir is elegant and silky, with pleasant tannin and a long finish. It is an excellent companion to roast and steamed meat dishes. Optics: very dark cherry red, slightly bluish reflections. Odour: intense fragrance; fruity: red dark berries - forest fruits, spicy: clove, cinnamon. Body: lightlyintense, good body, harmonious acidity, tannins well present, soft and integrated, long finish.
The Pinot Nero is regarded unanimously as one of the most valuable and high-quality of red wines. With a dazzling garnet red colour, its aromas - reminiscent of forest fruits blackberries through to blackcurrants - are irresistible. The literally melt in the mouth, with their complete richness satisfying every palate. The wine gains in distinction when served with properly selected and cooked dishes meat, game and especially, lamb in all its forms. Like all other greatwines, an extended maturation period enhances and develops this wine.
Our Blauburgunder, or Pinot noir, is a ruby to garnet red wine with pronounced tannin profile, an intense, ethereal bouquet which is reminiscent of wild berries, and a lingering, full finish.
Deion: Pinot Nero is a deep ruby red. In its early stages of maturation, it displays an intense bouquet with raspberry and marasca cherry aromas that develop hints of ripe red berries when fully mature. On the palate Pinot Nero is characterized by soft tannins exalting its typical smoothness, long finish and unparalled roundness. Food Pairings: This wine is an excellent match for fowl and delicate white meat.

This Pinot Nero is cultiveted on the sunny slopes below Montan and convinces by its ruby red colour and the typical fruity aroma slightly of vanilla. Its taste is full and long persisting.
