Alcoholic content: 13.50 %

yr. 2021 Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch:

91 - 93 of 100 Points.

"Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2021 on 01.04.2022 with 91 - 93 of 100 points.

Dourthe)"

yr. 2018 Wine Enthusiast:

94 of 100 Points.

"Wine Enthusiast" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2018 on 01.11.2021 with 94 of 100 points.

"This estate, whose magnificent vineyards slope down to the Gironde estuary, is situated between two classed growth properties. This wine, rich and structured, powered by solid tannins as well as serious black fruits and youthful juicy acidity, is going to take its time to mature. Wait to drink until 2027. Roger Voss"

yr. 1989 Tom Cannavan:

93 of 100 Points.

"Tom Cannavan" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 1989 on 01.01.2020 with 93 of 100 points.

"(2020) Solid ruby at the core but tawny towards the rim, this has a mellow, currant and sweet plum flesh nose, that undertow of game and sauvage quality is there, a firm graphite note still discernable. No sign of the slightly more animal character of a couple of bottles drunk many years ago. Lovely sweetness on the palate: pure blackcurrant and savoury, plum skin and bitter orange, tannins still spicy and taut, acidity balanced and gastronomic, and the wine drinking really well. I'd guess this is at, or has just peaked, and is for drinking now. Really very good indeed - complete mature Bordeaux experience."

yr. 2001 Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch:

"Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2001 on 01.06.2019 with 89 of 100 points.

"Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2003 on 01.06.2019 with 87 of 100 points.

89 of 100 Points.

"Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2017 on 01.05.2018 with 89 of 100 points.

2024-2036, 17.5 vvPunkte (89/100)"

yr. 2016 Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch:

92 of 100 Points.

"Adrian van Velsen - vvWine.ch" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2016 on 01.05.2017 with 92 of 100 points.

2025-2045+. 18.5 vvPunkte (92/100)"

"Wine Enthusiast" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2007 on 01.01.2010 with 91 of 100 points.

"Meyney is often the most gentle of the great estates of Saint-Estèphe, and in 2003 this character is most obvious. The wine is full of vitality and ripeness, soft tannins showing the property more than the hot year. The fruit dominates right through the wine, with dryness only appearing in the aftertaste."

89 of 100 Points.

"Wine Enthusiast" has rated the wine "Chateau Meyney" from the vintage 2000 on 01.01.2003 with 89 of 100 points.

"Typical of Saint-Estèphe, this wine is totally closed up. It is more tannins than fruit at this stage of its development. But it is obvious that there is fruit there, and that it will develop. But for now, it's a case of watch this space."
