Matching: with well-flavoured starters such as sausages, p-tés and terrines, grilled fish, especially Tuna, white meat. Serving temperature: 8 - 12°C. Ageing potential: 2 - 4 years. The Lageder Alois Winery is a renowned winery in Margreid, a small community in the South Tyrolean lowlands in Italy. The winery was founded in 1823 and has been run by the Lageder family for seven generations. medium cherry-red colour. Pronounced, fruity (prune, cherry) and spicy aroma with notes of leather, tar, dark chocolate and floral nuances (violets), along with oak spice. Medium structure and with good fruit intensity on the palate. The tannins are present though balanced. Good length with an earthy aftertaste. When cellared under proper conditions, this wine may be kept for 8 to 10 years.

A deep ruby-red wine with violet nuances. The promise of blackcurrant, blueperry and wild cherry, black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom on the nose is amply fulfilled on the palate.
