The Lagrein has a dark ruby colour, during its youth with violet, later with garnet red reflexes. It is a pleasant, dry red wine, with notes of violets, chocolate and liquorice, on the palate it is velvety and with mild acidity. It is rich in tannins, but in the Bolzano basin, these tannins evolve in a very mild and sweet way. Recommended pairings are game, red meat and ripened cheese
This Lagrein is characterised by a lively ruby red colour and a variety of aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruits. A full, pleasantly warm and intense wine with a velvety softness. A red wine of distinction, unique in its way, and only to be found in South Tyrol. It goes exceedingly well with meat, roasts and spicy cheeses, but it is also a wine to savour and for meditation, above all when it is drunk following several years of ageing and maturation in the bottle.
The Lagrein has a fine and pleasant bouquet, reminiscent of violets. Its flavour is full, velvety and slightly bitter and it also keeps well. This is a wine that goes well with grilled and roast meats, game and spicy cheeses.

Smell: In the glass, Merlot aromas reminiscent of cassis and black cherry combine with the spicy-smoky character of the Cabernet, revealing a touch a green pepper and vanilla. The elegant blackberry notes of the Pinot Noir round of the composition to form a harmonious whole. Taste: On the palate, this cuvée offers an interesting symbiosis of the fruit of the Pinot Noir, the spiciness and tannins of the Cabernet, and the rich complexity of the Merlot.
Full, bright ruby in colour, this is an extremely typical Lagrein, very easily recognisable. It is immediately impressive due to the excellent equilibrium between intensity and complexity, between spice and small woodland berry fruits and violets.
Beautiful granet red. Multi-layered warm notes of ripe forest berries and roasted coffeebeans. Strong body with smooth tannins in great harmony with a vivacious acidity structure and long lasting finish. Ideal in combination with roasted meat or spicy Asian dishes like duck.
This particular wine is very rich and concentrated, full, deep ruby in colour with intense, almost aggressive herbaceous aromas which evolve and become warm and generous with maturity. They remain intense even after the wine has been in the glass for a considerable time. On the palate it is rich and dry, herbaceous, earthy and long due to its fi rm, tannic structure, characteristics which will enable this wine to mature magnifi cently in bottle for at least a year or two, evolving, mellowing and developing complexity.
Our Cuvee of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is aged for one year in wood, and then bottled. Cabernet belongs to the most full-bodied red wine varieties, has a garnet to dark garnet color, an earthy aroma, and slightly herbal flavor. The varietal Merlot originally comes France, is a lighter, dry red wine of garnet to dark garnet color. Overtones of black currants, dried fruit, chocolate, green bell pepper, cedar and tobacco predominate in this cuvee.
On the southern slopes surrounding Bolzano, the Schiava and Lagrein grapes ripen, which this round red wine is made. The velvety taste and the typical aroma with hints of almonds and violets give character to this appreciated wine.

It reveals aromas reminiscent of morello cherry and bilberry, with notes of licorice, coffee beans, vanilla, clove and black tea, which makes it spicy and fruity at the same time. Taste: The wine is harmonious on the palate with very compact and concentrated, multilayered flavors combining juicy fruit with spicy, peppery elements and a slightly sweet note of dark chocolate rounded off with silky tannins.
Medium garnet colour with ruby hints. Rich, quite pronounced, spicy aroma with a chocolate character, floral impressions (violets), red fruit and prunes. Soft, smooth fruit, full bodied. Masculine style. Firm, dry and somewhat earthy finish.
