Our ‘Bauern Schüttelbrot' is made with light rye flour and carefully improved with caraway and fennel - 100% natural crunching fun, of course.
Fritz & Felix is a producer of handmade Schüttelbrot based in South Tyrol, Italy. The company was founded in 1960 by Johann Reichhalter and taken over in 1997 by his son Erwin Reichhalter, who combined a passion for traditional craftsmanship with his interest in innovative flavours. Fritz & Felix's Schüttelbrot is made according to a traditional recipe that has been passed down in South Tyrol for generations. Each loaf is made by hand and baked on stone slabs to ensure it is crisp and aromatic. Schüttelbrot is a crispy mixed rye bread in the form of a flatbread, which is traditionally hand-shaken. A typical South Tyrolean speciality, light to the bite and particularly digestible. Ideal with bacon, cheese or a good glass of red wine.
Produced personally by the Martelli family, in their own pasta factory in Lari, in the hills of Pisa in Tuscany.
The Kaminwurzen (smoked sausages) are mildly smoked and air-dried sausages of beef and pork, a typical South Tyrolean speciality.
