Has a deep ruby red colour with a violet rim when young. The nose is clean, fruity with hints of raspberry and woodland fruits. As it ages, it opens up and mellows. On the palate it reveals balanced tannins, accompanied by a full, persistent body. It is dry, distinct, full-bodied and austere.
Very cold winter, very normal springtime. Many rainfalls during the all first part of the summer, but the end of July to the end of October the weather was sunny and dry, so the end of maturation and the harvest were simply perfect. Very balanced vintage, a great vintage.
Produced with Sangiovese grapes the estate's most suitable vineyard, is a Morellino di Scansano "Cru". Powerful and also warm and enveloping, it gives new astonishing territorial sensations to this noble variety.

A rather fresh appearance to this wine's colour. The nose has the same character, bright and fresh, with a light cherry aroma. The palate has a leaner character than I was perhaps expecting , although the fruit profile is as expected and it certainly has a rather appealing grippy structure beneath it all.
