The winery is located in the city of Bolzano, which is known for its picturesque location in the middle of the Dolomites.
The Bolzano Winery has an area of around 230 hectares, on which mainly autochthonous grape varieties such as Lagrein, Vernatsch and Gewürztraminer are cultivated. The winery's vineyards are situated in some of the best locations in South Tyrol, including St. Magdalena, Gries, Grieser Platz and Rentsch. The location of the vineyards on the steep slopes of the Dolomites provides ideal conditions for growing grapes.

The winery prides itself on producing only handcrafted wines that reflect the terroir of its vineyards. The vinification is carried out under the direction of the experienced oenologist Stephan Filippi, who is known for his uncompromising quality philosophy.
The Bolzano Winery is also committed to sustainability and has taken various measures to minimise its environmental impact. These include the use of renewable energy, the reduction of water and energy consumption and the promotion of biodiversity in its vineyards.
All in all, Cantina Bolzano is an outstanding representative of viticulture in South Tyrol. With its high-quality wine production, its commitment to sustainability and its focus on the region's autochthonous grape varieties, Cantina Bolzano is an important ambassador for regional wine traditions and terroir.
The bouquet is a mix of roses, ripe woodland strawberries, red currants and a spicy note of cinnamon. The flavour is soft, with light tannins, a sweet fullness in the mouth and a persistent after-note. A good match when served with fruit desserts and cakes.
In these, the tiniest of seedless grapes, there is a breathtaking concentration of aromas that are reminiscent of oriental fruit and spice markets, spicy tannin contour that initiates a provocative liaison with aromas of roses, cinnamon, rose hips, and orange peel.
