Deion: A pilgrim of the world successfully cultivated in both old and new wine regions, Sauvignon Blanc has adapted also to the climate of Trentino Alto Adige. Together with Cabernet Franc is the parent to Cabernet Sauvignon, which was created a spontaneous field crossing in Bordeaux, probably in the 18th century. That would already be enough to place it on top of the pyramid of the greatest international wine variety. Its intense and easily recognizable flavor has captured the attention of many consumers. Deor typically includes gooseberries, asparagus and many others â??herbaceousâ? aroma (Methoxypyrazines). Our search for the authenticity of this variety has led us to the creation of Blanc. In the archives of the town of Pressano, the surname Cesconi appears for the first time in 1751. Since then the roots of our family have grown, together with the vineyards, on these hills. Some documents attest to the purchase of the Olivar vineyard at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The Nosiola that grows there, thanks to the initiative of our great-grandfather Bernardino, reached Innsbruck transported on wagons pulled by oxen. Later on our grandfather Rinaldo, with the help of his son Paolo, began to supply several taverns in the nearby city of Trento with his wines. In the following years Paolo managed with great commitment, to increase the vineyard surface and finally, with the support of his sons Alessandro, Franco, Roberto and Lorenzo, the modern history of our winery begins.

Amarone Selezione Antonio Castagnedi is the result of careful research and selection of grapes, to guarantee in the bottle the maximum expression of the territory and the art of wine-making of the Castagnedi family. Characterised by its intense ruby red colour with purple hues, the bouquet is typical of Amarone and consists of ripe red fruit, spicy aromas of liquorice, black pepper and hints of chocolate. The flavours are well balanced, with soft, round tannins, warm, slightly savoury and elegant, with a long, fresh finish thanks to the balsamic notes that distinguish it.
A clean, concentrated floral nose reminiscent of elder and acacia flower with ah hint of sage, leads to a fresh, distinctive palate with nicely rounded fruit, light oak spice and a crisp finish. Enjoy it with a snack of fresh goats' cheese and smoked salmon pâté with crusty bread, or as a partner for lobster tail salad, full-flavoured fish dishes, scallops stir-fried with ginger, or goats' cheese soufflé.
