The St. Pauls Winery, also known as Cantina San Paolo, is a renowned winegrowing cooperative in the heart of South Tyrol, Italy. The winery was founded in 1907 by 23 winegrowers who joined forces to jointly market their wines. Today, the cooperative has more than 200 members and cultivates a total of around 190 hectares of vineyards.
The St. Pauls Winery is known for its high-quality wines made the region's indigenous grape varieties such as Vernatsch, Lagrein and Gewürztraminer, but also international varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Gewürztraminer St. Justina - 2021 - vine cellar St. Pauls
This wine is made carefully selected Gewürztraminer grapes, which comes the area of St. Pauls called St. Justina. It has a delicate, aromatic and warm-spicy flavour which reminiscent of cinnamon, nutmeg, and rose petals. It is rich and round on the palate and is one of South Tyrol's best known wines.
Pinot Blanc Reserve Sanctissimus - 2015 - Winery S. Paolo
Inspired by this significant project, by the small church just above the vineyards, and by St. Paul, who gave our winery its name, we elected to baptise this unique wine with the name of SANCTISSIMUS. The small harvest due to the age of the vines together with south-facing slopes guarantees the very best of grapes, hand-harvested with the utmost of care. Our reverence for this outstanding wine has impelled us to preserve the processing and ageing technique of a vinification system which is somewhat unusual in Alto Adige, and entails mild fermentation on skins followed by maturation in terracotta amphorae.
Pinot Nero Luzia - 2021 - vine cellar St. Pauls
This Blauburgunder (Pinot Nero) is aged in wooden barrels, it has a ruby purple-red colour with a hint of blackberries. Characteristic of this wine is its fruity, pleasant and wholehearted flavour. The Luziafeld vineyard is situated near the St. Pauls winery where the soil is loamy.
Schiava Missianer - 2021 - vine cellar St. Pauls
Vernatsch is a traditional South Tyrolean grape, greatly contributing to the local wine culture through its uncomplicated drinkability. New quality parameters and modern production methods have ensured that its popularity has continued to increase in recent years. In the village Missian this grape finds the best conditions to create this succulent fruity and elegant red wine.
St. Magdalener Classic South Tyrol - 2021 - vine cellar St. Pauls
St. Magdalener is a typical South Tyrolean red wine made Vernatsch and Lagrein grapes, of a pleasing colour that ranges ruby to garnet. It has a wide pallet of fruity flavours, almonds to wild cherries, which expand and intensify on the palate. It is delicate yet has a powerful structure.
