Deep ruby red. Strong and concentrated bitter almond aroma, which is typical for an outstanding Schiava. The morainic grounds fill the wine with a fine mineral taste. On the palate very balanced and elegant, fine tannins. Good length and a high potential of ten years in the bottle.
The Pinot Noir is a ruby to garnet red wine with velvet like tannins. For the nose it is intense and reminds us of fruits of the forest. For the palate it is persistant and full.
A saturated bordeaux red, a delicate aroma of berries, chocolate and tabac. Elegant tannins underscore the wine's complexity; a smooth finish with a touch of warmth accompanies its fiery finale.

Our Pinot Nero Matan is a wine with terroir and is thus well-structured, with an evident elegance, smooth and rich in aromatic nuances. The high temperature differences between day and night during the ripening season give this powerfully dark red wine a particularly fruit-toned character, lending fruit and pedigree to the Matan with its scents of forest berries.

The dark ruby colour of this Pinot Noir already suggests its superb concentration. Our Pinot Nero Riserva is only produced when the conditions permit the creation of a truly outstanding wine that shows off the Alto Adige region in its very best. 2016 vintage resulted in very intense, concentrated Pinots with powerful ruby red colour, fine Burgunder bouquet with red berry flavours accompanied by vanilla notes. A deep mouth filling wine with clear tannins that has all the hallmarks that we look for in a Riserva.

The approach to the palate is solid and lush, with a rush of fleshy dark wild berries, while nuanced tannins give the round body a stable balance and a good constitution for a lengthy aging in the bottle.
